Visual inspection tags for lifting
Lifting in all industrial sectors is governed by the same rules, which are legally required to be enforced to make sure an operator can operate a piece of lifting equipment such as a sling, chain, hook etc and see that it is safe to do so.
Lifting equipment is subject to six monthly inspection generally, and regular thorough inspections, all of which are identified by a coloured tag of some description. Our solutions are carefully designed to help you comply.
The benefits of colour coding
You can use colour coding to make sure equipment moving from place to place and used by different operators is clearly identified as having been inspected and therefore deemed safe.
So for example, your operators can be advised that all equipment in a particular six month period carries a coloured tag, say red and if any equipment is provided with no tag or a tag of a different colour, it should not be used until inspected by an authorised person and tag colour changed accordingly.
A choice of systems
Our tags for lifting provide colour coding as a minimum. However, they also work harder and add extra value when they are printed with safety critical information or have barcodes that also allow the item to be managed as part of the asset management system.
